SIOUX CENTER, IA (11/06/2012)(readMedia)-- Nathan Friend of Sioux Center, Iowa, will present a joint music recital with Kyra Kats of Boise, Idaho, Friday, November 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium on the campus of Dordt College.
Friend will perform pieces on the cello. A student of music instructor Karen Melik Stepanov, Friend will be accompanied on piano by Pam De Haan, Dordt College music tutor. He will perform Brahm's "Cello Sonata in E Minor" and Popper's "Tarantella." Friend was a featured soloist on Dordt College's music tour through Europe in 2012. He is a senior majoring in computer science and minoring in music performance.
