Nazareth Resident Receives President's Medal from DeSales University

CENTER VALLEY, PA (05/21/2013)(readMedia)-- On Saturday, May 18, 2013, John W. Zerfass, a resident of Nazareth, Pa., received the DeSales University President's Medal at the University's 45th Commencement exercises.

Zerfass graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in medical studies.

The President's Medal is given to a DeSales graduate who attained intellectual maturity consistent with his or her talents; demonstrated a manner of living guided by the principles of Catholic teaching; and exhibited, through service to the DeSales University community, loyalty and devotion to the University and the principles upon which its philosophy is based.

DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pa., is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1965, the 480-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles south of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,000 includes undergraduate day and evening students and graduate students. DeSales has approximately 100 full-time faculty members and offers more than 35 bachelor's degrees and seven graduate programs in a wide range of disciplines.
