New School Year Brings National Preparedness Campaign

ELMIRA, NY (09/04/2018) September is the beginning of Elmira College's academic year. September is also National Preparedness Month, an initiative to help prepare community members for and reacting to natural disasters and other potentially dangerous events.

This year, Elmira College takes this opportunity to raise awareness about and strengthen the preparedness capability of the College and its community members. Each week, messaging and activities will focus on important information aimed at making our community more prepared for unexpected events.

• Week One (9/3-9/7): Prevention & Preparation
• Week Two (9/10-9/14): Protection
• Week Three (9/17-9/21): Response & Recovery
• Week Four (9/24-9/28): Elmira College Prepared

Look for tips, resources, and other helpful information. We also will use the hashtags "#PrepareNow", "#NatlPrep", and a special hashtag for the final week of the campaign. Make sure you follow the College Instagram and Facebook accounts to learn more.
