New York Army National Guard Recruiters at Washington County Fair

GREENWICH, NY (08/14/2013)(readMedia)-- Visitors to the Washington County can tests their skill and endurance at hitting a punching bag when they stop by the New York Army National Guard recruiting table at the fair.

The New York Army National Guard recruiting team will have a punching bag machine set up so fairgoers can compete against themselves and each other. Members of the Army National Guard will also be on hand to talk about what it's like to be one of New York's Citizen Soldiers.

Reporters looking for a different angle on their fair coverage are invited to stop by the Army National Guard recruiting display at the fair to check out the physical fitness competition and also talk to the Guard recruiters.

The New York Army National Guard, with a membership of about 10,500 Soldiers, is currently at 100 percent strength. National Guard Recruiters, though, are continually seeking new Soldiers to fill job education opportunities available in units across the state.

Throughout the summer months New York Army National Guard recruiters will be manning booths at county fairs to let the public and potential Soldiers know more about the force.
