FORT EDWARD, NY (10/24/2026) (readMedia)-- The New York State Association for Rural Health (NYSARH) is pleased to announce the election of Allison Roselle, Deputy Public Health Director of Jefferson County Public Health Service, to its Board of Directors.
Allison brings 10 years of public health and leadership experience, with a focus on strengthening community health systems and improving access to services for rural populations. Her professional background spans population health, maternal and child health, harm reduction, and strategic program development across government, nonprofit, and technology sectors.
In her current role with Jefferson County Public Health Service, Allison leads strategic initiatives to strengthen community health systems, oversees regulatory compliance, and supports local health improvement efforts, including the Keep the North Country Smiling Oral Health Work Plan. Her previous experience includes serving as Director of Population Health at the North Country Prenatal/Perinatal Council, where she managed the Adult Community Health Worker program, and advancing New York State 1115 Medicaid Waiver initiatives at Unite Us.
Allison is also actively involved in community organizations, including the Anchor Recovery Advisory Board, Northern New York Community Foundation LEAD Philanthropy Council, Healthy Families Advisory Committee, and Association of Perinatal Networks of New York.
Through her service on the NYSARH Board, Allison brings a commitment to building strong, equity-focused partnerships and translating community needs into sustainable solutions that improve rural health outcomes.
"Allison brings exactly the kind of on-the-ground public health leadership that makes our Board stronger," said Jennifer Muthig, Executive Director of NYSARH. "Her work across population health, maternal and child health, and community health workers gives her a clear view of what rural New Yorkers need and how to deliver it. She brings a public health leader's view of what rural communities face every day, and a track record of building partnerships across sectors to address it. Her voice will strengthen NYSARH's work across the state. We're excited to have her perspective as we advance our policy and advocacy work."
NYSARH is pleased to welcome Roselle and looks forward to her contributions toward advancing the organization's mission and strengthening rural health across New York State.
