ALBANY, NY (12/27/2007)(readMedia)-- New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner Carol Ash presented the agency’s annual achievement awards at a ceremony held at Saratoga Spa State Park earlier this month.
Among the awardees was John Rozell. Mr. Rozell received a Special Achievement Award for his efforts as the agency’s photographer. His noted achievements include enhancing the agency’s communications on the website and through publications and marketing efforts.
“Not only is John a gifted photographer, but he approaches his jobs with tremendous enthusiasm, spirit and purpose. John is a responsive, dedicated and talented employee who is ready at a moment’s notice to go into the field and capture the perfect image,” Ash said.
Ash noted that over the last year, Mr. Rozell photographed the agency’s 2008 calendar and travelled the state park system taking photographs to document the status of state parks’ infrastructure and equipment.
