New York State Parks Presents Awards; Cohoes Resident Honored
ALBANY, NY (12/27/2007)(readMedia)-- New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner Carol Ash presented the agency’s annual achievement awards at a ceremony held at Saratoga Spa State Park earlier this month.
Among the awardees was RoseMarie Ali. Ms. Ali was honored with a Distinguished Service Award for her many contributions to the agency over her twenty-year career. Since 1987, Ms. Ali has served as office manager of the State Historic Preservation Office.
“Ms. Ali demonstrates a tremendous work ethic and is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure accuracy in record keeping, smooth functioning of the office and prompt and courteous service to the public. She has been a valuable asset to the Historic Preservation Field Service and is very deserving of this honor,” Ash said.
Ms. Ali retired from state service in November, 2007, just before receiving this honor. “RoseMarie has made many contributions to the agency and to historic preservation. Her career has been distinguished and accomplished, and the entire staff of the Historic Preservation Field Services Bureau is grateful for her committed service,” said Ruth Pierpont, Director of the bureau, which serves as the State Historic Preservation Office.
Ms. Ali lives in Cohoes, New York.
