TROY, NY (10/18/2011)(readMedia)-- The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association (NYSRPA) is proud to endorse former New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Denise Sheehan for Town of Colonie Supervisor.
NYSRPA President Tom King said, "Denise was widely recognized as being a friend of sportsmen when she was with DEC. She enacted commonsense measures such as expanding rifle hunting in appropriate counties and enacting year round catch and release bass fishing, to name a few. Denise understands the positive economic impact that sportsmen and women and the shooting sports have on our economy and society."
King feels that Sheehan can have a very positive local impact. "With Albany County boasting some of the most restrictive anti-gun measures this side of New York City, Denise Sheehan, as supervisor of the largest town in the county, would be a prominent local voice of reason."
