New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Endorses Gregory Johnson for State Assembly

TROY, NY (10/08/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, the state's largest and nation's oldest 2nd Amendment advocacy organization, announces the endorsement of Gregory Johnson for State Assembly in District 116.

"Gun owners have a clear choice in Assembly District 116," said Thomas H. King, President of NYSRPA. "Greg Johnson believes people have the right to possess firearms for self-defense. Incumbent RoAnn Destito voted in favor of the mandatory firearms microstamping bill A-6468C which would have effectively prohibited the sale of all new pistols in the state. Destito clearly believes citizens should not be allowed the simplest, most effective tools for personal protection."

NYSRPA encourages all gun owners to support Gregory Johnson on November 2.
