New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Thanks Legislators on Big Game Bills

TROY, NY (06/25/2008)(readMedia)-- Companion bills A-9845A and S-6750A have just received final approval by the State Assembly and Senate respectively. This legislation extends big game rifle hunting in Chemung, Steuben and Yates counties through October 2011. The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association thanks Assemblyman Jim Bacalles and Senator George Winner for their continuing efforts to promote sound wildlife management practices in these counties. We urge Gov. Patterson to sign this legislation promptly so it will be in effect for the fall hunting season.
