BALLSTON SPA, NY (03/19/2009)(readMedia)-- Dear Editor:
The next edition of "Transitions -- How DMORT and its Members Respond to Overwhelming Disasters" such as the recent crash of Flight 3407 into a Buffalo suburb will be transmitted to you via readMedia before or during the week of April 6. This column will describe the work of DMORT, an organization which was established in 1996 by an act of Congress to address the concerns of families who had lost loved ones in mass fatality incidents such as airline crashes, floods and other disasters.
"Transitions" is compiled by Bonnie L. McCullough, executive director of the New York State Funeral Directors Association (NYSFDA). Founded in 1889, NYSFDA maintains a Website at www.nysfda.org and conducts ongoing educational programs that inform consumers about all aspects of funerals and end-of-life issues.
If you would like a photo of Bonnie McCullough or a copy of the NYSFDA logo for the column, please let me know at: vnuspliger@aol.com or 518-882-9816. Please let us know if you have any suggestions or ideas for future columns. If you do not wish to receive future transmissions of this column, please let me know that, too.
Thanks for your interest. Keep in touch.
