SPRINGFIELD, MA (04/20/2011)(readMedia)-- Nicole Emby of Cranston, RI, 02910, received the 2011 Springfield College Eric Palmer '89 Memorial Award, at the college's 85th Stepping Up Day ceremonies, at the Richard B. Flynn Campus Union Patio, on April 14, 2011, on the college campus. Emby, a third-year student whose major field of study is movement and sports studies, received the presentation from Peter Haley, assistant professor of physical education.

The Eric Palmer '89 Memorial Award is given to a Springfield College student who demonstrates excellence in physical education.
