MILTON , MA (11/08/2012)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that North Attleboro, MA resident Mahmoud El-Zeftawy, son of Maha El-Attar and Hossam El-Zeftawy, has been cast in his first college theatre production. A 2012 graduate of North Attleboro High School, he appeared on that stage in The Outsiders, How to Succeed in High School Without Really Trying, and In Facebook Wii Trust. Mr El-Zeftawy also played in a production of Hamlet, in his native Egypt. Currently a freshman majoring in Psychology, Mahmoud landed the leading role of Dr. Bill Windsor in Alan Ayckbourn's Woman in Mind.
Knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 1997, Sir Alan Ayckbourn is the most widely produced playwright in England, second only to William Shakespeare. His darkly humorous Woman in Mind sees the action of the play through the eyes of its protagonist, as her mundane reality collides with her active fantasy life. Into this rich world of fantasy, bumbles the well-meaning "Dr. Bill", who finds himself caught between the reality of his patient going mad, and her fantasy that sends him tumbling into the world of this dark and unpredictable comedy.
This wildly unpredictable comedy tumbles across the stage on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday; Dec 1st through 4th at 7:30 p.m. at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).
