SENATOBIA, MS (01/30/2018) Northwest Mississippi Community College announced today that it has been recognized as one of the best online community colleges in the country for 2018 by BestColleges.com, one of the leading providers of college planning resources and higher education research and trending reports.
According to BestColleges.com, the updated annual ranking features accredited, nonprofit two-year colleges who offer affordable, flexible and quality online degree programs. BestColleges.com's ranking uses a methodology grounded in statistical data compiled from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System and College Navigator, both of which are hosted by the National Center for Education Statistics.
The aim of the ranking is to objectively assess relative quality based on academic outlines, affordability and the breadth and depth of online learning opportunities. Eligible schools must be an accredited public or private nonprofit institution and must offer at least one online associate degree program.
