Oak Park native honored by Marquette University's College of Arts and Sciences

MILWAUKEE, WI (07/19/2012)(readMedia)-- Hettie Brennan, daughter of John and Anne Brennan, was honored with the Freshman Frontier Program 2012 Outstanding Service Award from Marquette University's Helen Way Klingler College of Arts and Sciences. Brennan is pursuing a degree in communication studies.

This award recognizes a senior Freshman Frontier Program student for outstanding service to the Freshman Frontier Program, Marquette and the community.

According to Mary Minson, director of Freshman Frontier Program, Brennan has consistently shown her dedication to serving others. She acted as a Freshman Frontier Program Assistant and a Freshman Frontier Program Telethon caller. Brennan has also been involved in service programs including Marquette's Hunger Clean-Up and service trips to Mexico and Appalachia.
