Olga Varechtchouk from Webster named presidential scholar at SUNY Geneseo

Varechtchouk is one of 15 top-acheiving seniors for 2011-12 academic year

GENESEO, NY (09/29/2011)(readMedia)-- Olga Varechtchouk from Webster, NY 14580 has been named one of 15 Presidential Scholars for the 2011-12 academic year at the State University of New York at Geneseo.

A presidential scholar is a top-achieving member of the incoming senior class who exemplifies Geneseo's institutional values and also serves as a student ambassador for the college.

To receive the honor, a student must hold a minimum grade point average of 3.6 and demonstrate an active involvement with the community. They are nominated by faculty members and reviewed by a panel of faculty and students before being recommended to the provost for final approval.
