CAZENOVIA, NY (04/07/2011)(readMedia)-- The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall will host exhibitions of work by seniors in its Art and Design classes.
Olivia R. Bosies is a senior from Manchester, N.H. who is majoring in studio art specializing in photography. She titles her exhibition "Wet." The show runs from April 18 - 24, with an artists' reception on April 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, 6 Sullivan St., is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Hours during the academic year are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Summer hours vary.
Bosies writes of her work, "Water has always captured my attention. Until the day we are born liquid surrounds us. Water makes up a percentage of our body, and we need it to survive. I enjoy capturing the moments of water the eye does not see, the ripples and waves it makes as it travels over a surface. My fundamental love of action impels me to capture motion - details of the beauty water makes as it travels across the landscape of the human face, showing my audience things that they would not see in motion: how graceful and beautiful the water is in a split-second of time.
