Opelika Resident Jacob Tadych Selected to Attend the 2013 Meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University

ATLANTA, GA (05/17/2013)(readMedia)-- Opelika resident Jacob Tadych was one of four students selected to represent Oglethorpe University at the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI-U). Founded by President Clinton, CGI-U meets annually to bring together emerging young student leaders with youth organizations, topic experts and celebrities to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges.The meeting was held April 5-7, 2013 at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.

Tadych, an accounting major, was selected to attend in recognition of his work and leadership in Oglethorpe's Tiny Homes Project. The goal of the Project is to build a $400 home that is sustainable and environmentally-conscious on the Oglethorpe University campus this year. The first home is intended to serve as the prototype for five additional homes for homeless or low-income individuals.
