BUFFALO, NY (02/18/2013)(readMedia)-- New York Army National Guard units stationed at Buffalo's Masten Avenue Armory will hold an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb 22.

The event will give members of the public, and young men and women interested in joining the Army National Guard, an opportunity to find out more about what Guard Soldiers do. Equipment will be on display and presentations on National Guard history, missions, and education benefits will be offered.

During the four-hour open house members of the 42nd Infantry Division, the 105th Military Police Company, D Company 427th Brigade Support Battalion and C Troop of the 2nd Squadron 101st Cavalry will be on hand to talk about what they do and explained the equipment.

A rock climbing wall will also be available for visitors to test their skill on and pizza and soda will be provided to visitors.

The Armory is located at 27 Masten Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14204
