HERKIMER, NY (11/22/2011)(readMedia)-- Herkimer County Community College women's basketball player Hayley Awerdick, Ossining, NY has been named Region III Female Co-Athlete of the Week. Awerdick led the Generals in three big wins this past week. She was 13 for 29 from three-point land. She also accounted for a game winning three vs. Broome in the final seconds and connected on a big three vs. Finger Lakes in the final minute to seal the win. She averaged 17.3 points per game during this stretch. Awerdick is a Liberal Arts & Sciences: General Studies major at HCCC. The other Female Co-Athlete of the Week was Jennifer Conklin, Monroe Community College, swimming and diving.
