PA Williams + NYers to Leader Schumer: "Time to Deliver" on Critical Voting Rights & Build Back Better Agenda

On Eve of Congress' Return to D.C. and historical congressional legislative session

NEW YORK, NY (10/17/2021) (readMedia)-- Today, the day before Congress returns to session, Public Advocate Williams and hundreds of New Yorkers will gather at Grand Army Plaza to demand that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer use every tool at his disposal to deliver on the historic policies that make up the Freedom to Vote Act and Build Back Better reconciliation package. At this crucial moment for our country, NY organizations will join forces to demand Congress not squander this opportunity to get things done while we still have a chance.

This send-off for Schumer will also feature live music from the Rude Mechanical Orchestra, an art installation, and speakers directly impacted by the issues, and those representing a broad coalition of organizations fighting for democracy, climate, housing, immigration, and more.
