POTHOLE REPAIRS TO CONTINUE THURSDAY ON THE STATEN ISLAND EXPRESSWAY
ALBANY, NY (01/15/2014)(readMedia)-- Motorists are advised that emergency repairs to potholes on the Staten Island Expressway will continue on Thursday, January 16. Starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow, up to two lanes will be closed on the Expressway eastbound between Woolley Avenue and Clove Road. The work is scheduled to continue until approximately 4 p.m.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license. It is imperative that motorists remember to drive carefully through this construction zone, for their own safety and the safety of workers.
