Pa. Turnpike Announces Traffic Stoppages between Warrendale and Butler Valley
June 29-30 stoppages of eastbound traffic are needed for overnight bridge work.
NEW STANTON, PA (06/27/2011)(readMedia)-- Drivers using the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Warrendale (#30) and Butler Valley (#39) will encounter 20-minute stoppages starting at 10 p.m. June 29 through 5 a.m. June 30 for bridge work at milepost 30 and 33 in Allegheny County.
Intermittent stoppages of eastbound traffic are planned overnight on June 29-30 while crews set steel beams for a new bridge at milepost 32 which carries Turnpike traffic over Graham Road. This section of Graham road is currently closed with a detour for the duration of the project.
The eastbound express E-ZPass lanes will be closed for this seven-hour period.
When stoppages occur, both eastbound lanes will be stopped, but westbound traffic will not be affected. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions and other circumstances. Delays are possible on I-79 approaching the Turnpike ramps.
