Pa. Turnpike Restores Normal Speed Limits Everywhere Except Easternmost 33 Miles
The lowered, 45 mph speed limit is still in effect from Valley Forge to Delaware River.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike has lifted the 45 mph speed limit restriction for all but a 33-mile stretch in southeastern Pennsylvania, where parts of the toll road are partially snow covered and maintenance crews are treating the roadway.
The 45 mph speed limit is still in effect on the Turnpike's east-west mainline from the Valley Forge Exit (#326) east to the Delaware River Bridge Toll Plaza (#359).
In addition, the Turnpike has lifted the right-lane-only restriction for commercial vehicles (trucks) everywhere except that 33-mile eastern stretch. The lane restriction is still in effect for trucks on the mainline from Valley Forge to the Delaware River Bridge.
