Palmer native Madelyn Peterson receives award upon graduation from Whitman College

WALLA WALLA, WA (06/05/2013)(readMedia)-- Madelyn Peterson of Palmer, Alaska was honored with an award upon her graduation from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

Peterson was selected as a recipient of the Adam Dublin Award for the Study of Global Multiculturalism. This award is given to students doing research or creative work on issues related to multiculturalism in the United States.

Peterson is the daughter of Marc and Virginia Peterson and a 2009 graduate of Palmer High School. She received a B.A. in Politics during the Whitman commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 19.
