Park Police Nab Drug Offenders at Thompson's Lake Campground

ALBANY, NY (08/11/2010)(readMedia)-- New York State Park Police arrested five campers at the Thompson's Lake State Park (Town of Knox, Albany County) campground on drug related offenses on Sunday, August 8.

The arrests were made after a patrolling park police officer detected marijuana at a campsite in Thompson's Lake State Park. While conducting an interview outside a camper, the officer asked one of the individuals to produce identification. As the individual entered the camper, the officer observed cocaine, drug paraphernalia and other unidentified pills. Albany County Sheriff's Department personnel assisted at the scene of arrest.

The New York State Park Police arrested the following persons and charged them with drug offenses (described below).

Persons arrested:

1. Angelic M. Ker, age 27, Howes Cave, New York

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree – A Misdemeanor

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree – B Felony

Criminal Possession of Marihuana 4th degree – A Misdemeanor

Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia – A Misdemeanor

2. Gregg M. Duncan, age 26, East Berne, New York

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree – B Felony

Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th degree – A Misdemeanor

Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia – A Misdemeanor

3. Shawn M. Duncan, age 31, East Berne, New York

4. Siobhan N. Duncan, age 28, East Berne, New York

5. Jeremy T. Bradt, age 19, East Berne, New York

(all three defendants)

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree – C Felony

Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th Degree – B Misdemeanor

Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia – A Misdemeanor

The arrested persons were arraigned in front of Justice Jean Gagnon Town of Knox Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
