Parker Earns First Team All-Region & All-Conference

TROY, NY (02/27/2012)(readMedia)-- Sophomore men's basketball player Kalik Parker (Ragsdale (NC)/Greensboro, NC) earned First Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference honors on Monday afternoon.

Parker leads the Vikings this season with an average of 16.7 points per game, 9.5 rebounds per game, and 1.6 blocks per game, and ranks seventh in Region III in both scoring and rebounds. He is just 47 points shy of 1,000 career points entering this weekend's Region III Tournament at Jefferson Community College. He also is currently ranked second in career three-pointers (155), needing only five to break the Hudson Valley record (159), and ranks fifth all-time in Viking history in career blocks with 103.

The #4 seeded Vikings head to the Region III Tournament to take on #5 Fulton-Montgomery Community College at Jefferson on Friday, March 2 at 6 p.m.
