ALBANY, NY (04/29/2011)(readMedia)-- It may have been put off for a week, but it is bigger and better! Pastor Charlie Muller and District Attorney David Soares and John D'Antonio of Albany Parks and Recreation have joined forces once again to host an Anti- Gun Violence Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday April 30, 2011. The Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza, the biggest in the Capital District will be held at Bleeker Stadium at 12:00 and will include 30,000 candy filled eggs. There will be prizes and special eggs filled with Cash and Bicycles, Prizes will also include flat screen televisions.
"With the gun violence in the neighborhood recently, it is important for families to know that they can still have a safe, fun time with their families in their community," said Pastor Charlie Muller. "Our goal is to let the youth of our City know that violence is never the answer, gun violence has to stop; we want them to know that there are alternatives in life."
District Attorney David Soares, Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings, John D'Antonio of Albany Parks and Recreation and Albany Police Chief Steven Krokoff will also be in attendance. This event is open to children ages 2- 12 and will begin at 12:00. For additional information, please call 434-6100.
