MILTON , MA (10/28/2011)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Pawtucket resident, Marissa Mancini, daughter of Dr. Tom and Dianne Mancini, will be directing a scene in John Cariani's magical love comedy, Almost, Maine. Marissa is a 2009 graduate of Saint Raphael Academy. Currently a junior majoring in communication, she has been seen on the Curry Theatre Stages in The Comedy Cafe, Peanute Galleria, The New Plays Festival 2010 and 2011, Bat Boy, and All in the Timing. This show marks her directing debut for Curry Theatre's Black Box. In addition to directing and acting for Curry Theatre, Marissa has also served as costume manager, house and box office Manager and currently serves as this semester's public relations liaison.
Almost, Maine is a collection of nine surreal moments, all taking place under the Northern Lights in a town in Maine, so small, that it can only be called "Almost, Maine." This delightful comedy comes to the Curry stage November 19-21, 7:30pm, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).
Curry College is a 132-year old, private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA.
