QUEENS, NY (10/08/2025) (readMedia)-- On Thursday, Phoenix House of New York & Long Island and elected officials will host a graduation for 82 New Yorkers in recovery from addiction. Amid a statewide substance use crisis that affects over 1.9 million New Yorkers, and federal action that threatens thousands of residents in recovery, Phoenix House will celebrate its class of 2025 and recognize their formal graduation at Queens Theatre.
With its newly expanded services across Brooklyn, Harlem, and Long Island, Phoenix House leverages a uniquely community-oriented approach to support those in recovery. The annual ceremony brings together elected officials, Phoenix House leadership and board members, community advocates rooted in New York's recovery movement, and hundreds of friends, relatives, and allies.
State Senator Kristen Gonzalez will serve as the ceremony's keynote speaker, highlighting Phoenix House's work at Long Island City Residential, which sits in her Senate District, and throughout Queens.
