Phoenix House Ronkonkoma to Host Wellness Day & Narcan Training

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY (06/28/2022) (readMedia)-- On Wednesday, Phoenix House's Lake Ronkonkoma Facility will host a wellness day from 10 to 3 p.m. Activities include yoga on the lawn; seminars on PTSD, wellness, and trauma; a smoking cessation information session; residential treatment alumni presentations; and a presentation on self-care. There will also be an in-person Narcan training. With overdose rates higher than they've ever been in New York State and across the country, seeking and providing adequate, holistic substance use disorder treatment is m learning to administer Narcan is like the new CPR - everybody should know how to do this simple act in order to save lives.
