SOUTHAMPTON, NY (08/11/2008)(readMedia)-- Congressional candidate, Lee Zeldin (R-C), gathers with protesters and supporters on Monday, August 11, 2008, outside of Tim Bishop's Southampton office. The group wants Congress, which is currently on a 5-week vacation, to return to Washington and pass much needed energy and immigration reform. Zeldin also released the following brief statement:
"I am proud to have served in our nation's military and I am honored to continue serving. Congress has earned their 9% approval rating, but certainly has not earned the 5- week vacation they are currently taking. Congress should return to Washington immediately and pass much needed energy reform provided in the American Energy Act."
