Physicians for Peace Announces New Additions to Board of Trustees

NORFOLK, VA (10/10/2008)(readMedia)-- Physicians for Peace, a Norfolk-based international non-profit organization focusing on medical education in the developing world, announced that four new members have joined its Board of Trustees.

The new board members, are:

• Donald S. Buckley, MHA, PH.D., LFACHE, of Chesapeake, VA. Dr. Buckley is Co-Chair of the Physicians for Peace Medical Operations Committee and has a long career in medical administration, including serving as President and CEO of the Chesapeake Health System and Chesapeake General Hospital.

• David M. Delpierre, Esq., of Norfolk, VA. Mr. Delpierre is a lawyer with the Norfolk firm of Kaufman & Canoles.

• Allan Irving Goldberg, M.D., of North Wales, PA. Dr. Goldberg is currently Executive Director for Scientific Affairs at Merck & Co.'s U.S. Human Health division.

• Kevin L. Smith, M.D., F.A.C.S., of Charlotte, NC. Dr. Smith is on the faculty of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
