Pitch, Hit and Run Competition Featured at Jerry May Field in Gypsy Hill Park

The Staunton Parks and Recreation Department Hosts the Annual AquaFina Pitch, Hit and Run

STAUNTON, VA (04/18/2012)(readMedia)-- The Staunton Parks and Recreation Department will host the Annual AquaFina Pitch, Hit and Run Competition on Wednesday, April 25th. Join over 500,000 boys and girls, ages 7-14, for this exciting baseball competition that provides the opportunity to showcase your pitching, hitting and running abilities.

PHR participants can advance through four levels of competition, including Local and Sectional competitions. Team Championship events will be held at all 30 Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game.

Come out to our local competition on April 25th at Jerry May Field in Historic Gypsy Hill Park. The event is free and all youngsters will receive a complimentary Kiwanis hotdog and drink. On site registration from 5:30-6:00 p.m. Competition begins at 6 p.m. and is open to Staunton/Augusta County residents. No cleats are allowed for the competition.
