HERKIMER, NY (12/08/2011)(readMedia)-- Herkimer County Community College women's soccer player Melissa Stec, Pleasant Valley, NY, an Early Childhood major, was named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) First-Team All-American. Stec played for the Generals in all 18 games this season, with 17 goals and 7 assists. Coach Amy Dommer said, "Melissa was our main offensive threat this season and always found a way to put the ball in the net. Her quick feet and skillful moves enabled her to get around her opponents all season long."
Herkimer County Community College is a unit of the State University of New York, located in Herkimer, NY about 20 miles east of Utica, NY.
