Plymouth's Jordan Nielsen named Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week

AURORA, IL (04/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Aurora University freshman midfielder Jordan Nielsen (Plymouth, Minn./Orono H.S.) was selected as the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 14, 2013.

Nielsen led Aurora to a 3-0 week with a 21-3 win over the University of Dubuque, a 10-5 win at Fontbonne University and an 18-2 win over Loras College. In the three games, she tallied 13 points, including a five goal effort in the win over Dubuque. She also added an assist, 11 ground balls and nine draw controls in the weeks three games.

On the season, Nielsen leads AU with 26 points and 22 goals to go along with four assists and 42 ground balls.

Next action for the Spartan women's lacrosse team is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16 when they travel to Benedictine University. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Lisle, Ill.
