Portland Native Michael Bathurst acts in 'Theatre Uncut' at Whitman College
WALLA WALLA, WA (11/15/2012)(readMedia)-- Portland native Michael Bathurst '13 recently performed in 'Theatre Uncut,' a series of short plays from many nations that encourage debate about political issues. He acted in London 2012: Glasgow, directed by Nancy Simon.
Founded in 2011 by three young British director/producers in response to cuts in public spending, 'Theatre Uncut' has been performed in more than 80 theatres on six continents. Playwrights were asked to write new short plays modeled after the original production at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year, which won numerous awards.
Bathurst is the son of Mike and Christine of Portland, Ore., and is a 2009 graduate of Lincoln High School.
At Whitman, Bathurst is a senior economics major and plays on the men's soccer team.
