Portland native Suzanne Jaszczult selected for teaching fellowship in France

WALLA WALLA, WA (06/05/2013)(readMedia)-- Suzanne Jaszczult of Portland, Ore. was honored with a fellowship after her graduation from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

Jaszczult was selected to be an English teaching assistant by the Teaching Assistants Program in France (TAPIF). During the upcoming school year, Jaeger will have the opportunity to instruct elementary or secondary school students in English in some assigned region in France.

In addition to her teaching position, Jaszczult was elected as a new member of Phi Beta Kappa, a national honor society that recognizes students who have succeeded academically in a wide variety of courses in the arts and sciences, including mathematics and foreign language. The Whitman chapter of Phi Beta Kappa was founded in 1920.

Jaszczult is the daughter of Dana and Rick Jaszczult and a 2009 graduate of Grant High School. She received a B.A. in Politics during the Whitman commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 19.
