SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/02/2010)(readMedia)-- Kenneth Mahoney of Poughkeepsie took home two awards during Western New England College's 8th annual Student Media Festival. Mahoney won third place in both the juried competition and the people's choice judging in the TV reporting category. Mahoney is a senior graduating with a degree in Communication.
The Student Media Festival was created to provide students a venue to display their works to fellow students, faculty, staff, and the public so that students can be recognized for their successes in creating quality films and videos over the past year.
Western New England College is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, the College serves 3,700 students, including 2,500 full-time undergraduate students. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are offered through the College's Schools of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Law.
