WHITTER, CA (05/20/2011)(readMedia)-- As a Whittier Poet Chin was the editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper, the Quaker Campus. In addition, a member of the national biology and chemistry honor societies, Chin conducted advanced research in chemistry with mentor Professor Ralph Isovitsch. He co-wrote and article with Professors Isovitsch (Whittier College) and Frank Fronczek (Louisiana State Universtiy) published in the professional journal, Acta Crystallographica.
Most recently, Chin presented research at the spring 2011 National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Anaheim.
Richard "Maxwell" Gallo, San Diego, CA - Theatre and Communications Arts Major: Gallo played the lead in Whittier's 2011 productions of Scapin and Rent-the musical. As a result of his outstanding performances Gallo received two nominations to participate in the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship competition at the 2012 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Regional Festival.
