WHITTER, CA (06/11/2012)(readMedia)-- The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) awarded Whittier College Sophomore from Paradise Valley, AZ, Evelyn Beguiristain with All-SCIAC Honors.
The All-SCIAC Teams are made up of all swimmers and divers who finished in the top three of their respective events.
Evelyn Beguiristain impressed all season long and finished her first year off in impressive fashion finishing in second place in the 200 fly with a time of 2:10.36. During her freshman campaign she also broke two school records including the 200 IM (2:15.24), and the 200 fly (2:14.70) and won SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors during the thirteenth week of voting.
