Pre-Medical Summer Scholars program

University of Arkansas at Little Rock student Lydia Thomas took another step toward her goal of becoming a physician this summer through the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences' Pre-Medical Summer Scholars program, gaining hands-on clinical experience while preparing for medical school.

Thomas, a Little Rock native, participated in the program to strengthen her preparation for the Medical College Admission Test, or MCAT, a standardized exam used in the medical school admissions process, while gaining a better understanding of the medical profession.
