Kutztown University acrobatics and tumbling reached new heights as a program-record 12 student-athletes were named to the 2024 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association Academic Honor Roll.
Elaina Blackstock (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley), Shayla Anderson-Buchanan (Philadelphia, Pa./New Hope Christian Academy), Allison Fernandez (Westfield, N.J./Westfield), Evyn Heberlig (Newburg, Pa./Shippensburg), Cecilia Marshall (Bellingham, Mass./Home Schooled), Jordyn Osner (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown), Ashley Ryan (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus), Destiny Satterlee (Shenandoah Junction, W.Va./Jefferson), Paige Saxey (Clearfield, Utah/Clearfield), Zoe Tuttle (Ocean View, Del./Indian River), Maddie Welsh (York, Pa./Central York) and RoseMary Werkheiser (Easton, Pa./Easton) all earned a spot on the list.
The NCATA Academic Honor Roll includes all active Acrobatics and Tumbling student-athletes with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher.
Kutztown finished with a 6-3 overall record, a program best for wins in a season. The Golden Bears' 5-element heat qualified for an at-large berth to the NCATA National Championships, the first time ever for KU. They finished fourth overall.
