RALEIGH, NC (01/23/2013)(readMedia)-- William Peace University student Christiane Newell of Raleigh, NC was selected to participate in the 2013 College Edition Class presented by AT&T.
Newell joins students from 11 colleges and universities in the Wake, Durham, Chatham and Orange County areas, who will work on developing personal leadership skills and learn about regional issues that impact communities throughout the Triangle.
Leadership Triangle is a non-profit organization that educates and promotes regionalism across the separate Triangle communities. It does this through regional and leadership development classes, seminars and awards.
The typical student participating in this year's class is a sophomore/junior in good academic standing. School administrators select participants for having a desire to be student leaders, are experienced in community service and volunteerism, and demonstrate an interest in the State of North Carolina beyond their time in college.
Students fully commit their time and energy to participate in this program and are interested in developing new skills.
