Randelle Boots, of Seekonk, Earns Sixth All-America Honor at NCAA Indoor Championships

WELLESLEY, MA (03/12/2012)(readMedia)-- Wellesley College junior Randelle Boots, from Seekonk, Mass., continued her fantastic college athletics career with an All-American finish at the 2012 NCAA Division III NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship. The Championships were held at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, March 9-10.
Boots, competing in the mile, placed seventh overall with a time of 4:57.52 in a physical race that featured several falls. The All-America honor is the third straight for the junior at the NCAA Indoor Championships. She also owns two cross country All-America awards and one outdoor track award, making her a six-time All-American.
Wellesley track and field will open the outdoor season at Tufts University's Snowflake Classic on March 31st.
Boots is a graduate of The Providence Country Day School.
