Rebecca Reeves of Vincennes Presents Papers at Scientific Meeting on Aging

EVANSVILLE, IN (11/29/2011)(readMedia)-- The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Rebecca Reeves of Vincennes presented two papers at the Gerontological Society of America's 64th Annual Scientific Meeting on November 20 in Boston, Massachusetts. Reeves is a graduate of South Knox High School majoring in psychology. 

Reeves presented "'65 Isn't What It Used to Be:' Changes and Trends in Perceptions of Older Adults," co-authored with UE assistant professor of sociology Mari Plikuhn and fellow UE student Ashlee Niehaus of Huntingburg.

Reeves also presented "Childlessness and Life Satisfaction in Later Adulthood," co-authored with Plikuhn, UE associate professor of sociology, social work, and gender & women's studies Michelle Blake, and fellow UE students Niehaus and Daniel Caruana of Crown Point.

This year, the Gerontological Society of America's Annual Scientific Meeting brought together more than 4,000 people in the field of aging to participate in over 500 scientific sessions, including paper and poster presentations.
