LA MIRADA, CA (04/03/2014)(readMedia)-- Biola inked another standout distance runner for women's track & field and cross country following the commitment of Hannah Feehan from Regis Jesuit High School.
Feehan will enter the university in the fall and plans to join Biola's noteworthy communication disorders undergraduate program.
She is coming off four varsity seasons of high school cross country and track & field, and she earned recognition as Colorado Academic All-State in both of her sports.
"Hannah is going to be an outstanding addition to our teams, as she is a very well-grounded student-athlete who really fits the model we have tried to develop here," said Head Coach Jonathan Zimmerman. "She will major in communication disorders, which is just one of the many exemplary academic majors offered here. I am glad she will be well served in the classroom, the community and on the track."
Regis Jesuit is a premier high school in Colorado that was recently ranked as the No. 1 high school sports program in Colorado by "Mile High Sports Magazine."
Last season, Feehan led her cross country team to a second place regional finish and berth in the state meet.
Feehan becomes the second member of the track program to commit to the university level during this commitment season. She will have a chance to make an immediate impact on Biola's Golden State Athletic Conference championship-winning women's cross country program when she enters the university.
