Paul D. Moore, RPEA President

ALBANY, NY (11/13/2013)(readMedia)-- Paul D. Moore, of Niskayuna, was elected President of the Retired Public Employees Association (RPEA) at its recent Annual Meeting. RPEA is the only association whose sole purpose is to represent the interests of retired public employees, and has 40,000 members.

Moore is retired from New York State government service, having previously held various senior level staff positions in both the Executive and Legislative branches. Most of his career was spent planning and developing new programs, evaluating existing programs, analyzing budgets and financial controls, and providing executive level leadership within organizational units he headed. He served in the State Comptroller's Office, Division of the Budget, State Legislature, Higher Education Services Corporation, and the Office of Mental Health. He is past Director of the Shared Municipal Services Technical Assistance Project at the Government Law Center (GLC) of Albany Law School; and was the first Clarence D. Rappleyea Government Scholar in Residence at the GLC.

RPEA has been in existence since 1969.
