Retired Public Employees Mourn Loss of Former Leader

ALBANY, NY (11/28/2007)(readMedia)-- The Retired Public Employees Association announces with great sadness that Cynthia Wilson former President of RPEA passed away on November 11, 2007. Cynthia led RPEA, an organization of over 50,000 members representing the interests of government retirees in New York, for many years retiring in 2003

She was a truly exceptional leader for retirees of New York and a friend. It was her leadership in the fight for a Cost of Living adjustment for retirees that then Governor Pataki so clearly cited at the signing of that historic legislation.

Cynthia’s life and involvement in the affairs of New York government were remarkable. She was a trailblazer, setting RPEA on a course for dynamic growth, development and prominence.
