MARIETTA, OH (09/27/2013)(readMedia)-- Marietta College and the Alumni Association will honor 1968 graduate Rich Galen with induction into the Hall of Honor during the Homecoming festivities this October.
At 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12, Galen will be one of a dozen special Pioneers being recognized during the Marietta on the Mall celebration. He is just one of three being inducted into the Hall of Honor.
Best known as the author of the political column, Mullings, reaching more than 400,000 people per month, Galen's commentary is considered required reading by many and he is a frequent contributor to television network news programming.
A former press secretary to Dan Quayle and Newt Gingrich, Galen has extensive international experience fulfilling multiple government assignments dedicated to building democratic political infrastructures overseas.
In addition to owning his own marketing and advertising firm, Galen also serves as a senior advisor to a world-wide public relations company.
Marietta College's homecoming celebration is from Oct. 11-13.
